J.-C. sur le royaume du Pont \u2212 l\u2019actuelle Turquie, la Crim\u00e9e et de nombreuses r\u00e9gions au bord de la mer Noire \u2212 et reste c\u00e9l\u00e8bre pour avoir r\u00e9sist\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019expansionnisme romain, mais aussi pour avoir accoutum\u00e9 son corps \u00e0 r\u00e9sister aux poisons : la mithridatisation. Racine situe l\u2019action au dernier jour de sa vie : alors que Mithridate est d\u00e9clar\u00e9 mort, ses deux fils se disputent son royaume et la reine. Mais le retour du roi va tout bousculer. Le metteur en sc\u00e8ne \u00c9ric Vigner voit dans cette \u0153uvre cr\u00e9pusculaire le dernier sursaut d\u2019un homme hant\u00e9 par sa disparition et celle du monde hell\u00e9nistique, dont il est le dernier rempart. \u00c0 l\u2019heure de notre mort, quel regard porte-t-on sur notre vie, qu\u2019avons-nous transmis ?<\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00c9ric Vigner est metteur en sc\u00e8ne, acteur et sc\u00e9nographe. Il a dirig\u00e9 le CDDB \u2212 Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Lorient de 1996 \u00e0 2016 et est actuellement directeur artistique du Th\u00e9\u00e2tre Saint-Louis \u00e0 Pau.
